Spay and Neuter Clinic

In association with Kern County Animal Control Services and the office of District 2 Supervisor, Zach Schrivner, Southern Kern Vet Hospital is offering a voucher to spay and neuter your pets.  You must bring an ID (and proof of address if address is different than what is on the ID) and pick up the voucher in person at the times listed below, at the Rosamond Fire Station.  Limit 4 vouchers per household.

There is no income qualifications for this program and no cost for the vouchers.

Yes, Kern County Animal Control offers this program periodically throughout the year… unfortunately, they usually only have enough open slots to serve the current backlog of customers who attended previous clinics. This is not a very efficient way to take care of animals, which is why we recommend taking your pet to the shelter and just paying the small fee to get it done right the first time. There is a shelter in Mojave, which will transport your animal to Bakersfield, or you can probably go to the animal hospital in Tehachapi, which is pretty good. Does that help?
